Quantra Quartz Care Guide

Keep Your Stone Surfaces Looking Better for Longer

Regular Quantra Quartz Maintenance Instructions

Quantra Quartz surfaces are virtually maintenance-free and can be cleaned with extreme ease. Common household spills – such as tea, coffee, lemon juice, soda, fruit, vegetable juice, olive oil, or grease spills – are easily removed and the surface is restored to its original appearance.

For routine cleaning, use a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of mild soap. Once clean, rinse and dry the surface thoroughly. For stubborn or dried spills, use a nonabrasive cleaning pad combined with a small amount of mild soap or specialized stone cleaner.

Advanced Cleaning and Precautions

Maintenance for super honed & brushed finishes

Some Quantra Quartz colors and finishes like super honed, brushed, etc. are more sensitive to grease or fingerprints and may require extra care during routine cleaning as compared to polished surfaces. Hence any dirt, marks, or scratches will be more visible on a honed surface. These marks can be removed by using non-abrasive cleaning products and it is always recommended to clean as soon as the stains occur

Maintenance for Quartz Floors

Quantra Quartz floors in high-traffic areas should be cleaned daily with a clean, dry dust mop or soft bristle broom. Quantra Quartz floors in low-traffic areas can be cleaned less frequently using the same method. A floor machine such as a slow-speed buffer or walk-behind scrubber can be used for larger commercial environments. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any haze residue that may reduce the shine and beauty of the floor. For heavily soiled floors, as with any floor, it makes sense to clean up spills as soon as possible.

DO NOT USE the following on Quantra Quartz Surfaces under any circumstance

If any of the substances listed below come into contact with your Quantra Quartz surfaces, rinse the exposed surface immediately and thoroughly with plenty of clean water:

Product List
  • Furniture stripper
  • Paint strippers
  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Permanent marker (remove with isopropyl alchohol)
  • Products with pumice
  • Products containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride

Precautions

Use a cutting board.
• Quartz is one of the hardest materials in nature, which is your assurance that your Quantra Quartz surface will not easily scratch or chip. Nevertheless, on a kitchen top, use of a cutting board is recommended.

Avoid high heat exposure and thermal shock.
• To maintain the natural beauty of Quantra Quartz surfaces, do not place hot skillets or roasting pans directly onto the surface but use a trivet instead.

Do not use strong abrasive or alkaline products.
• Quantra Quartz contains natural stone. This stone will not be damaged by casual exposure to alkaline products, but may react with highly alkaline (high pH) products and dull the shine. Strong abrasives may damage the sealant and any adhesive resins. Only use quartz safe cleaning products or mild soap and water when cleaning.

Quantra Quartz is tough but still needs proper care

ONE Quartz® can be damaged when it comes in contact with strong chemicals and solvents. Avoid using products that contain trichloroethane or methylene chloride that include paint removers, furniture strippers, oven cleaners, and products containing bleach. These products can cause permanent discoloration and damage to the surface. In the event that these agents come into contact with the surface, wipe immediately, rinse with water, and then clean with vinegar-based cleaner.
